29 @ 29!
“Twenty-nine years ago, at exactly 6 minutes past 11 in the morning, a baby girl was born…a pinkish seven-pounder who dwarfed all the other newborns in the nursery of Polymedic General Hospital in Mandaluyong City, Manila. She’s the youngest of all three children of mom and dad.
Better Days
I want this song to be my birthday song, though I think it’s more of an Easter song. Nice lyrics, great melody. Goo Goo Dolls really rock!
The Three Trees

[From an unknown author]
Once upon a mountain top, three little trees stood and dreamed of what they wanted to become when they grew up.
The first little tree looked up at the stars and said: “I want to hold treasure. I want to be covered with gold and filled with precious stones. I’ll be the most beautiful treasure chest in the world!”.
The second little tree looked out at the small stream trickling by on its way to the ocean. “I want to be traveling mighty waters and carrying powerful kings. I’ll be the strongest ship in the world!”.
The third little tree looked down into the valley below where busy men and women worked in a busy town. “I don’t want to leave the mountain top at all. I want to grow so tall that when people stop to look at me, they’ll raise their eyes to heaven and think of God. I will be the tallest tree in the world.”

Probably the COOLEST video ever made! By my favorite band, Matchbox Twenty…
“A Friend Loves At All Times…”
“A friend loves at all times,
and a brother is born for adversity.”
- Proverbs 17:17
The book of Proverbs has probably the best description of a true friend: loyal, faithful, constant, and ever-loving. Every person dreams of having a friend, or friends, with that kind of quality. I’m quite blessed of having a few of my own, and I think they feel blessed of having me, too! (I hope)
Each day we meet people, old and new to our lives, and oftentimes we’re not really sure if they are indeed worth keeping. So I’d like to share with you a few keypoints I’ve learned from Proverbs and I hope I can give you some insight.
Dogs, Pigs, and Pearls
“Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.” - Matthew 7:6
Have you ever experienced being rejected because you just wanted to help someone who’s misled by wrong teachings? I know the feeling and if you do, too, you know it sucks. Makes you think, “what the heck? I was just trying to help!”
As part of my daily reflection, I turned to God’s Word for some guidance: the Holy Bible. And I read this verse in one of the chapters of the book of Matthew.
The meaning of this Bible verse is quite simple: “Do not persist in offering what is sacred or of value to those who have no appreciation for it, because your gift will not only become contaminated and be despised, your generous efforts could also be rebuffed and perhaps even openly attacked.” [http://www.bible.ca/ef/expository-matthew-7-6.htm]
The “pearls” are God’s Word, the gospel, as well as our God-given gifts and experiences, and they have great value to Him. They are His; and all these that He possess, we must know how to make use of. I had to learn this lesson the hard way, because I had experienced sharing these pearls and reaching out to people with compassion and truthfulness, yet all I got was despise and a cold shoulder.
Kill The Emo!!
Let’s admit it: they’re pathetic and they give bad influence!
Recovery
What is Recovery?
…rebuilding our lives.
…restoring ourselves.
…picking up the pieces.
…healing from past wounds.
…regaining our hope.
…obtaining self respect.
…mending broken spirits.
…making amends for the spirits we have broken.
…reclaiming our right to be.
…releasing what doesn’t belong to us.
…raising up what does without fear.
…repossessing our minds and our hearts.
…repairing broken thoughts and faulty behaviors.
…replacing them with thoughts and acts of love.
…renewing our faith, our minds, and our bodies.
…reviving life within and around us.
…realizing that there’s good within us.
…growing in our ability to feel and express that good.
…renovating our broken dreams and broken hearts.
…increasing our ability to own our light.
…and reaching out to lovingly share that light with others.
The Wounded Black Puppy
I had a horrible dream last night. It wasn’t a monster dream but remembering how I felt in it, made me really frightened.
I dreamt I was in my sister’s house. She had several puppies there which we cared for. It felt like the place, the people, and the animals are already so familiar. Then, when I entered a large room, I saw one of the puppies – the black one – it was somewhat different. It was moving weakly and I knew there was something wrong. I ran and immediately checked on it…it had wounds all over and it was bleeding! There’s a deep scratch on the puppy’s neck, like a strangle wound, then there’s a stab wound at its back, done with something thin and pointed. The wound bled profusely.
